A chaque édition de BURNING INK, une vingtaine d’illustrations originales dessinées à la main sont présentées. A la fin de l’exposition elles sont toutes brûlées. La seule manière de les acheter est de se les faire tatouer avant qu’elles ne disparaissent.
La première exposition BURNING INK a ouvert à Paris en mai 2010 chez Bleu Noir. Puis a été organisée à New York, Berlin, Londres, Madrid, Istanbul et Genève avec le soutien de DC Shoes.

The concept of Burning Ink is as radical and unique: all the handmade drawings designed by selected artists will be burnt at the end of the show. A very different concept to an ordinary art show, no one can go home with the art in its hands.
The only way for the drawings to survive the flames is to be bought and inked into the buyers’ skin, making each design a unique tattoo.
The art show was produced in Paris, New York, Berlin, London, Madrid and Istanbul.
