La 6ème édition de Burning Ink soutenue par DC Shoes s’est achevée vendredi 12 avril à Istanbul à la Milk Gallery et un dernier dessin encré dans la peau de son acheteur par RoRofRose, tatoueuse du studio local de Dramatik.
Dans une ville qui compterait plus de 5000 tatoueurs et une scène artistique émergente, la Burning Ceremony a connu une vive affluence, chacun brûlant d’envie de participer à cette clôture unique en son genre. Les artistes Moshi Moshi (Fr) et Ilhan Bilir (Tu) étaient également de la partie ainsi que le photographe espagnol Alberto Garcia-Alix venu en ami. La soirée s’est conclue par un concert des Ringo Jets, groupe rock de la scène stambouliote au programme du prochain Primavera à Barcelona.
La galerie Milk dans le quartier noctambule de Beyoglu a accueilli le 29 mars la vingtaine d’œuvres originales dessinées à la main qui ont donc disparu dans les flammes lors du décrochage. Deux tatouages ont été réalisés lors de l’exposition.

Les trois tatoueurs de cette édition stambouliote étaient Rorofrose, Ilhan Bilir et Dramatik.

The 6th edition of Burning Inksupported by DC Shoes came to a close Friday 12th of april at the Milk Gallery, Istanbul.
This edition saw the art lost to the flames once again. The Milk Gallery was a bustle of intrigue as the attendees watched Rorofrose ink her piece on a buyer during the evening. Followed by hundreds of people gathering outside to watch the art burn as the show came to a close. Then off in to the bustling streets of Istanbul for the after-party at The Hall, as Istanbul locals, The Ringo Jets got heads banging late into the evening in the city that never sleeps and they will soon hit the city of Barcelona for the Primavera.
The artists Moshi Moshi (Fr) and Ilhan Bilir (Tu) were involved and spanish photographer Alberto Garcia-Alix came as a friend.
